What’s The Difference Between A Wii Remote And A Wii Nunchuck?

I’m waiting for my new Nintendo Wii to arrive but am wondering, can my friend and I use one each on Wii Sports? Or do I have to buy an extra remote?

The Wii comes with one of each. The Wiimote is the controller with the IR pointer on it and it held in your right hand. The nunchuck plugs into the Wiimote and has an analog stick and two buttons on it, it’s held in the left hand. The two together make up one full controller. To play multiplayer games you’ll need one more of each.

A nunchuck is used for a different style of playing. You need a wiimote for each player.A nunchuck is useless unless it is pluged to a wiimote
