I forgot to look and see what size batteries I need to get for the Wii controller, I have the Wii hidden at my mother in laws until Christmas morning.
And does the numchuck take batteries as well?

The Wii uses size AA batteries, and the nunchuck does not need batteries. Although, if you are going to be playing a lot (probably the case), you might want to think about getting rechargable batteries. You can either use normal rechargable batteries or you can invest in the Wii mote charger. It has the rechargable battery packs and the charger included (plus it isn’t as expensive as some of the normal battery chargers out there). I’ve had mine for about 8 months now, and the batteries still hold a charge for an “all nighter”.
they take AA and no the numchuck doesnt need any
It uses two double a batteries. No, the nunchuck gets its power from the wii remote. You can buy a stand that allows you to charge the remotes and cool off your wii, very helpful. Hope this helped!
they have a rechargeable wii mote stand that comes very handy i am planning to buy one myself soon at gamestop.
two AA
2 AA batteries for the remote, and the nunchuck connects to the Wii remote, so it will feed off it’s power supply.
Hello,
The controller uses 2 AA batteries. The nunchuck does not require batteries (it is powered by the controller when the two are connected).
Hope that helps.
2 AA Batteries.
No nunchuck batteries!
AA
Only the Wii-mote requires two AA batteries not the nunchuk.
You may want to get another set of controllers for max. fun.
Happy Holidays!
AA
