The Wii version of the game has several exclusive features, since a Wii Remote must be inserted into the guitar controller. The game utilizes the Wii Remote’s wireless capabilities and accelerometer, as well as making use of the rumble feature and the internal speaker:[6] The internal speaker on the Wii Remote is used to emit a sound simulating the guitar strings when incorrect notes are hit; This feature, however, can be turned off in the player’s interest. The Wii Remote’s rumble feature is utilized when Star Power mode is activated. While the Wii version has online play against other online strangers, or against friends utilizing game-specific friend codes, downloadable content was not available at launch. Activision had announced that it would be releasing downloadable content for the Wii in the first quarter of 2008.[7] However, it is delayed with a revised release date currently unannounced. The Wii and PlayStation 2 versions also use slightly different graphics and sounds from those on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, such as a different typeset, loading screen, and the Wii version featuring “miss” sounds more akin to the first Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II. However, in the new remastered Wii game disc, the “miss” sounds have been changed to those heard in the other versions. The Wii version of the game includes characters that are not found in the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, Elroy Budvis and Metalhead.
Short answer: PS3/Xbox360 versions are 10x better than the Wii version.
Long Answer: Well for a start, the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions have far better graphics than the Wii version. They also have downloadable content while the Wii doesn’t. The PS3/Xbox 360 versions have the God of Rock character and the Bret Micheals cheat. The Wii version has Metalhead character, as well as the large gems cheat. The Xbox 360 version has hard achievements that you can earn. The Wii version uses a guitar that requires an annoying Wiimote to insert, while the PS3 version uses a dongle, and the Xbox 360 can connect straight to the console (as what I hear).
Dont give Ross the best answer, he probably spent like 20 minutes on that, lol, loser. The basic difference is the feel of the guitar and where and what buttons are placed on the guitar, Metalhead and Elroy Budvis are characters on Wii and Ps2 but no 360 and PS3
PS3 and 360 have better graphics, you can also download music with them. You can’t download with the wii, i think the 360 is the only one without a wireless guitar.
the wii uses the wii remote for the guitar and there is all so the ds one i don’t think that one wouldn’t be any good though.
