My Wii is Japanese (no, I can’t read Japanese) so I have no clue how to work it. How do you get the 2nd player Wii remote to work for a multiplayer game? Do you need to go to Wii options? If you know how, can you explain with the pictures (and not the submenu names, it’s in Japanese.)? I currently need it for Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga, and there isn’t any option/menu for other additional Wii remotes.

In the Wii remote you take off the battery cover and there will be a red button there. As well on the Wii itself, where you place SD cards (the open-flap thing on the front of the Wii). Press the red button on the Wii, then press the red button on the remote. This should “sync” the two devices and a blue light should light up on the remote.
Hope this helps!
you can change the language in the wii menu (lower left hand corner of screen) just browse around until you find the word english
then go into the home menu (house button) remote settings
disconnect then reconnect the wii remotes
Don’t bother. Just give your Wii to me and away goes all your Wii problems. =P
… except the one that is not having the Wii.
Open the battery compartment on the wii remote and the front cover on the wii. There should be a red button inside both. Push both buttons at the same time and the remote should sync to the Wii
Turn on Wii Control 1
Open the panel above the disc slot and hole down the lil button
while doing this hold down the lil red button located where u put the batteries in the wii mote
and it will synchronize it
You may need to re sync control 1 as weldo them one at a time so u knw wat one is control one and two
Just two additional notes:
1) Don’t hold the red buttons. Just tap them. Holding them for too long will clear all the synch data and force you to re-synch everything.
2) Some games (At least Marvel Ultimate Alliance) also require you to go into the game options each time you start it up and activate the other controllers. Most don’t do this, but it has been done in at least one game before.
