I had to do this with my DS. When you go to the menu with the options for setting up the connection, there will be an option saying "Setup manually" or something along this lines. Then just follow the steps. Also, your router may not be broadcasting. (Another problem I had). Go to your computer's Control Panel and select your router, and play with the settings[different for all routers, call you company, or search their site] until you can connect. Hope I helped!
