I got my wii sometime in may of 2007. I am worried about it because I left it on wii connect 24 overnight. The when I turned it on the morning these white blackish dots started appearing on the screen. I really can see the dots when I play games like twilight princess. Does anyone have the same predicament as I do? If you know anything as to how to solve this problem please help.

I have the same problem. My problem is that I didn’t know there was a known overheating issue with WiiConnect. Now that my graphics chipset is damaged, I will eventually have to exchange or send it in repair with Nintendo. The warranty is 1 year + 90 days, if you registered.
It’s hardware damage, so there is nothing you can do to fix it. I have noticed that cooling is improved if you put the Wii on its side and disable WiiConnect.
make sure you have every thing pluged in tightly if they are and its still static on the screen use a different TV for your wii that’s what i did and it worked
