Just so you people above know, if he has dial-up, a router and lan adapter won’t do crap.
You need a high speed connection, then a lan adapter or a wireless router. You could try taking your wii to a relative/friends house like I did when I had dialup.

No you will have to get a wireless router or lan adaptor to be able to do this, they can be picked up fairly cheap.
