I know lots of people do it, but I’m just wondering to be on the safe side if connect my wii to wifi will give it any sort of damage or virus? Might sound silly, but better safe than sorry! ![]()
thanks!

Not on Nintendo wifi. They wouldn’t risk being sued and wouldn’t want to damage peoples console anyways. Although when using the Wii Opera Browser there is the possibility of a wii virus on sites, but thats all a possibility. I’m not sure how that works, the wii might need a code from the download source…but Nintendo wifi is safe, besides playing online and being beaten by cheaters or disconnected via disconnectors. Hope this answers your questions.
Connecting to the internet does not harm your Wii at all, as this just allows you to play online with friends or use the internet channel. If there was a virus, it would be quickly destroyed by Nintendo, and there is practically no chance it will happen at all.
Using the Wii internet cannot affect the Wii in harmful ways, due to the inability to download files, and therefore preventing any way a virus or worm can enter your system
